Discussion Questions for Study Groups

Summary

This appendix supplies the structured discussion apparatus that makes the corpus tractable through collective engagement rather than solitary reading. Its roughly one hundred thirty-six open-ended prompts are organized into seven sub-sections — six that follow the six sections of the main meta-analysis, plus a set of cross-cutting questions — so a group can work through the argument in order or focus on a single theme. Every question is tagged for audience suitability (academic seminar, policy reading group, or community discussion) and for difficulty (foundational, intermediate, or advanced), and many are paired with follow-up prompts a facilitator can use to extend or redirect the conversation. The questions are prompts, not exam items: each admits several well-grounded answers. Like the rest of the corpus, the set is even-handed — it does not presume a normative starting point and is designed to surface competing views rather than suppress them.
