Michael R. Williams, Ph.D.
Founder, Reset Ready Labs · Associate Professor of Finance
Reset Ready Labs is headed by Michael R. Williams, Ph.D., an Associate Professor of Finance (CV) in the College of Business at Governors State University. His academic work spans trading and market microstructure in international financial markets, faith and sustainable investing, and biotech valuation — with a long-running interest in how shocks and external forces transmit across asset markets.
Dr. Williams' combination of academic rigor and hands-on financial-technology experience serves as a foundation for Reset Ready Labs. Over his career Dr. Williams has built analytics and portfolio software, advised firms through Williams Analytics LLC, and served as board chairman of a life-sciences analytics company — experience that informs the ABCD research program at the center of this site: a sober, evidence-based examination of the emerging financial system and how individuals, families, businesses, and communities can understand and prepare for it.
